October 06 – We\u2019ve released Summer\u2019s End on MFR, a set of live material from September 1st. We played for Scott\u2019s band students all day, and at Doane College all night. The songs are in chronological order from morning on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Look for another new track, \u201cO Come Thou Dayspring,\u201d on this year\u2019s XMAS comp at Mr. Furious Records.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re band nerds from Crete, NE. In the spring of \u201999 one of our track meets was cancelled, a bunch of friends ended up in Scottie\u2019s basement playing pool, howie was jamming on Dave Matthews covers and Scott got his sax out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Coffeehouse sets of half originals and half covers culminated in the album near and far. Then we went electric, which we still are. signs.comets is the record, made in a sweltering church attic in the summer of 2003, overloaded with ambition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Keys to h&s are: musical conversation and improvisation, longer-than-pop song arcs, and nuanced expression over perfect execution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
