Just Laying Down A Marker

While the podcast is going well, one of the downsides is that I write even less than I used to on the site. That means that there’s less to refer back to, and I semi-frequently refer back! The site map is incredibly useful for figuring out what we were up to five, or ten, or (gasp) twenty years ago.

So here’s what I’m up to now, for my own future reference:

  • Jam My Wave – One organ track to go, then vocals. I’ve done all the keys (and the organ for Let’s Drift) over the past couple weeks, after having some time away from this project over the summer due to work… ahem, complications
  • Dharmic Beams LP2 – I’ve sent Daniel four tracks, and have two more basically ready to stem out and send. I know what the next two will be. We’re hanging out this afternoon for some zero proof hott todds and for me to give Lily her heated bed, and one of the topics will be if I should pause at this set of eight or continue on into the 404 beat / live bass ideas
  • Drew is working on the meadow studio set, which I hope to release in the coming weeks
  • Dad’s “Bronze Oranges…” record is done. I need to design the CD jacket and order those. Looking at a January release
  • My Erebus quickie record from the spring has been done, though I just converted the mastering processing from Tanh 7 to Tanh 10 (because why not?). I expected a fall release but work, and the Night Mode meadow set, and Dad’s Night Mode record kind of scrambled the release schedule. Spring? Or any time I feel like it, it’s done
  • Having finished the Mnevis mk 1.0 I haven’t been soldering. Looking at Volca Bass and possible Erebus mods for little projects. Pondering a second Taiga and Eurorack vs. huge Mnevis mk 3 for six-voice, dual stereo synthesizing long-term. After I finish with Dharmic Beams 2 material, whether sooner or later, I’ll have to take a day to get all the Eurorack out and get on ModularGrid and daydream/plan
  • Am thinking about a quickie “micro-ambient” Roland P-6 inspired project

That should be most of what’s moving at the moment. After work gets sorted, Drew and I are hoping to get back to a regular weekly music night for recording, practice, or whatever.
